Steve De Cosse Partner Inspired by a Master Degree in Integral Philosophy, Steve had a vision back in 1989 and created The Slow Club in San Francisco, a restaurant dedicated to the concept of a sustainable dining experience. The Slow Club’s timeless design keeps it one of the city’s most popular and respected establishments today. Since then, Steve and his partners have grown Acre Gourmet into many areas of food service. Throughout, they have maintained a vision for a Better Food Culture. Steve is eager to expand the Acre Real School Lunch, which he believes is a great contribution to his community. In addition to his dedication to sustainable food service, Steve is an accomplished yoga instructor. He finds balance and inspiration from his many years of teaching.
 

Javier Canales Partner Javier Canales and Steve De Cosse have been working together since the Slow Club was founded. Javier has been involved in restaurant management and staffing for over 15 years. He is the energy and drive behind the day-to-day operations and management of Acre Café and The Exploratorium. Javier is also actively involved in the growth of our popular Acre Box Lunch service.

 
Britt Galler Partner Our Executive Chef, Britt holds a degree in both Culinary Arts and Organic Farming. She has been successfully running sustainable kitchens for over 15 years as a restaurant owner and caterer. Today she channels her experience and creative energies into Acre Real School Lunch, as well as crafting food for many of Acre’s catering events. Britt approaches cooking with natural elegance and finds inspiration in local, seasonal ingredients. Her devotion to artisan ingredients as well as her eye for design ensures integrity in the flavor, beauty and spirit of her food.
 

Adam Kesselman Partner

Adam has a background in international consumer brand management, which he combines with his passion for cooking and health. A chef and active athlete, Adam values the taste and nutrition he finds in fresh, seasonal foods, and is inspired by innovating in the fields of sustainability and management. With over 10 years management and restaurant experience, Adam is active in Acre Gourmet’s daily operations, from developing and growing relationships with producers and customers, to consulting on food program concepts and kitchen design.
