Acre News

New Season at The Acre FarmAs part of commitment to using local ingredients in our kitchens we grow some of our own produce. We welcome a new season at The Acre Farm located on Steve De Cosse’s (Partner, Acre Gourmet) property in Healdsburg, CA. With the help of organic compost from Petaluma's Reichardt Duck Farms, friends and family we have been growing starts from seed, preparing beds, planting and irrigating. The rich and fertile soil of Healdsburg fed by the Russian River, was just beckoning to be utilized and is now the home of a variety of organic fruits and vegetable plants. With the Sonoma sun and a lot of rewarding hard work, we anticipate a yield that could supply our cafes and schools with a large portion of the organic produce used in our cooking.
